Mr. C Jayasenan – Founder of JS TrafoEnergy
With over 37 years of experience in transformer engineering, Mr. Jayasenan has played pivotal roles at leading organizations including Andrew Yule, Kirloskar Electric, Bharat Bijlee, Virginia Transformer (USA), and SIEMENS Energy India. He holds a B.E. (Electrical – Honours) from NIT Durgapur and an M.S. in Manufacturing Management from BITS Pilani.
Until his retirement in June’25, Mr. Jayasenan led the Engineering function at SIEMENS Energy’s Transformer Factory in India, where he was recognized as a local key expert in EHV transformers. His specialization includes power transformers (≤1200kV) and shunt reactors (≤800kV), tailored for diverse global markets.
A passionate contributor to the Industry, he has authored numerous technical papers and presented at prestigious forums hosted by CBIP, CPRI, and IEEMA. He is also a life member of CBIP India and was nominated as Technical Committee Chairman for IEEMA’s e-TrafoTech 2020. He had conducted numerous technical trainings to various stakeholders of Transformers.
In Sept’25, he founded JS TrafoEnergy, to offer high-impact consultancyservices to utilities, asset owners, and academic institutions - driven by a commitment to excellence, innovation, and industry collaboration.
